Fort Wayne, Ind. — Peter C. Alexander, dean of Indiana Tech Law School, has been appointed as an Officer of the Standing Committee on Legal Education, Admissions, and Competence of the Illinois State Bar Association (ISBA) for the 2013-14 administrative year.
The 33,000-member association, with offices in Springfield and Chicago, provides professional services to Illinois lawyers, and education and services to the public.
“Committee and section council members play a key role in helping the bar association serve its members and the public,” said Paula H. Holderman, of Chicago, 2013-14 president of the ISBA. “These lawyers take time from their busy schedules to help their profession while continuing to serve the needs of their clients.”
Committees have the responsibility for specific programs and activities in such areas as professional ethics and delivery of legal services. Judges and non-lawyers also serve on committees and section councils.
